Steve’s career has been spent wholly within the maritime industry having spent 22 years at sea and the last 19 years in operations management in the passenger/vehicle ferry and cruise ship industries at a senior corporate level.
His appointments have included: Port Operations Manager for P&O European Ferries; General Manager – Operations: P&O Cruises; Group General Manager Safety for P&O Australia and General Manager Operations at Sydney Ferries
His expertise covers all operational aspects of passenger shipping, marine safety, security and port logistics in an advisory capacity as well as a trainer. Steve has been involved in various committees during the preparation of the National Standard for Commercial Vessels and sits on two technical advisory panels for CSIRO and NMSC respectively.
Steve has also lectured at the Australian Maritime College in Ship Design and Regulation.
