Massimo Soprano - Director

Massimo has extensive maritime industry experience in a range of seagoing, operational, safety and personnel management roles.

Before joining Thompson Clarke in 2006, Massimo was the General Manager of ASP Crew Management Services where he was responsible for fleet personnel ,negotiating with maritime unions on employment conditions and maintaining the manpower plan required to service the shipping company clients’ operational and commercial requirements. He also held the role of Operations Manager of ASP Ship Management and had previous responsibility for marine operations, safety, environment and security management with P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Silversea Cruises.

Massimo was contracted by the Sydney Ferries Reform Task Force as Lead Consultant responsible for the development and implementation of the company quality and safety management system and related training programs. Sydney Ferries obtained accreditation for ISM/ISO within twelve months from the beginning of the project.
