Chris has 30 years experience, both at sea and ashore, in the international maritime industry. He offers extensive international maritime business experience, comprising a mix of operational and strategic expertise gained through roles in the United Kingdom and New Zealand maritime safety administrations, port operations, sea-going positions and search and rescue (SAR) management.

During his career Chris has had extensive involvement with, and represented both UK and NZ on, international fora including IMO, IALA, COMSAR and the Joint WG for harmonisation of SAR. This experience has equipped him well to identify, interpret and implement international policies and guidelines, which adds a new dimension to the capabilities of Thompson Clarke.
